Inspired by love and supporting the dignity and quality of life for each child, skilled professional staff at St Edmond’s Home provide an exceptional holistic outcome oriented plan of care for children with intellectual and physical disabilities. We offer a broad spectrum of medical/nursing and therapeutic services to assist each child in achieving their greatest intellectual, physical and social potential. The children of St Edmond’s Home are a reflection of God’s love and their lives are immeasurably enriched by the tender and compassionate care of all of our St Edmond’s family.
St. Edmond’s Home was blessed with the privilege and honor of meeting the Holy Father, Pope Francis, when he came to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families in September 2015.

The Women’s Auxiliary provides invaluable support for the needs of the children through fundraising efforts such as sponsoring the yearly Gala, Love Bonds Campaign and volunteering at the home.
We envision a world grounded in Love: embodying Compassion, Dignity, Charity, Justice and Excellence for children with intellectual and physical disabilities. We are committed to serve medically fragile children and we recognize each individual as a unique creation of God. We strive to ensure that all children achieve their full potential.
All of our fears were clearly put to rest the second we stepped into St. Edmond’s. The staff is truly amazing. Our son’s quality of life immediately improved. Not just from the services and programs offered by St. Edmond’s, but from the LOVE showed for our son by the entire staff.
All of the staff of St. Edmond’s have contributed so much to helping our daughter be the best she can be. You have allowed her to love you and you have loved her in return.
This facility gives our son, the opportunity to attend the best school, go on community outings, have dances (as any teen would be doing at 16) and get the finest medical care that we could hope for, all in a loving, compassionate setting. The decision for us to place our son was the hardest decision we ever had to make. But as we view it…we have expanded our family.
Our son has grown up at St. Edmond’s and we have been able to be a part of that. The dedicated staff of DSP’s and nurses have cared for him, nurtured him, and supported his overwhelming daily needs. In this setting he is part of a community and this provides stimulation and entertainment for him. As well as serving as a support system for us.
My Wife and I miss spending time with everyone there. You have an incredible staff that enrich the lives of all the children and their parents. We will never forget what St. Edmond’s has meant to our family.
